Men’s final: Coello/Tapia def. Stupaczuk/Sanz, 6-2, 7-6

Sunday’s men’s final was the second consecutive meeting between Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia and Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz, a rematch of the Rotterdam final from one week earlier. The result was the same: Coello and Tapia won 6-2, 7-6, with the second set decided in a tiebreak.

The title is their 11th of the 2026 season and their third in a row, following the Paris Major and the Rotterdam P2. Stupaczuk and Sanz have now lost two straight finals to the top seeds.

Stupaczuk and Sanz stun Galán and Chingotto, again

The real drama of the men’s draw happened a day earlier. Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz beat Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto 7-6, 6-4 in the semifinal, the second week running they have knocked the Chingotto/Galán pair out after doing the same in Rotterdam.

In the other semifinal, Coello and Tapia moved past Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger in straight sets to set up the final.

Women’s final: Calvo/Fernández def. Sánchez/Ustero, 6-3, 6-0

If the men’s final was about inevitability, the women’s final was about revenge. It was a rematch of the Paris Major final at Roland-Garros, where Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero had beaten Martina Calvo and Claudia Fernández 6-2, 6-0 just a few weeks earlier.

Düsseldorf told a different story. Calvo and Fernández, aged 18 and 20, took the first set 6-3 and then blanked their opponents 6-0 in the second, wrapping up the final in one hour and eight minutes. Sánchez and Ustero had been dominant in Paris, but in Germany they never found the same gear.

It is the pair’s second title together, following their win at the London P1 earlier this season.
